Help with bad abdominal pain on right side?
Every so often, maybe every week or two, I get a bad (6 out of 1-10) dull pain on the right side of my abdomen. It will get sharp sometimes and if I press down or sit it hurts more. Sometimes the dull achy pain will also hurt my back or pelvic area.
Tonight its lasted longer then usual.. about 3 hours now and it’s more painful then usual. I just paged my on-call doc to see what I should do but does anyone have any idea what it could be?
Is it lower abdominal righted pain or under the ribs?
I had pain in my right side that would last for hours with my gallbladder attacks. I also had pain in my lower right side when I had my appendix out…but I had an achy side when I had ovarian cysts on my right ovary. It’s really tricky.
If the doctor tells you to go to the hospital, do it, even if it’s just to be on the safe side.
