Am I pregnant?-lower abdominal pain…?
I had a slip up with a condom about two weeks ago on the last day of my menstrual cycle. I’m on ortho evera (the patch) but I’m concerned that the patch might have failed me because… I’ve been having lower abdominal pain. I think it might be caused from vigorous intercourse from a few days ago. I won’t take the patch off for about two more weeks which means I won’t have my next menstrual cycle for two weeks. I heard pregnancy test don’t work when your on birth control pills because they trick your body in to thinking it’s pregnant and the test will come out positive even if you’re not.
Am I pregnant? Do pregnancy tests work when you’re on birth control?
Most of the ppl that posted above are correct. the hormone that preg tests measure is HcG Human chorionic gonadotropin, which elevates during pregnancy fairly rapidly. Contraceptives do not prevent that from being measured in a pregnancy test.
i would think your lower abodominal pain would be caused by something else.
