By “painful” ovulation, it could mean sharp pain or cramps, or minor twinges extending to a dull, nagging ache. After a day or so, nausea could be experienced along with light menstrual spotting.
The light bleeding can last for 6 to 8 hours, to 24 to 48 hours. What is it that causes painful ovulation? Pain when ovulating is due to minor blood leakage from the ovary during ovulation. It’s the leaking blood which causes the pain as it irritates the abdominal wall. As for the intensity of the so-called painful ovulation, it often varies from one woman to another. Indigestion Part 2
When someone speaks of shingles, they may or may not know they are actually referring to the herpes zoster virus. This is a viral infection that forms at the nerve roots, forming painful red rashes with tiny blisters, usually filled with a clear fluid. The skin often feels tingly before the rash appears on the infected areas, though burning sensations have also been reported.
The virus will usually manifest near the beltline of a person, but this is not always the case – infections of herpes zoster have been reported in various areas of the body, including the face. The rash can literally form anywhere on the body, but most infections will manifest only on one side and not spread from there.
The rash is usually painful, itchy, and can often be accompanied by blisters. People who have herpes zoster also usually do not feel well while infected. Other common symptoms to the condition include fever, chills, headaches, an upset stomach, and an increased sensitivity to light. Note that these are among the most common symptoms, but this is far from a comprehensive listing of all the signs of a shingles infection.
The varicella-zoster virus, from which herpes zoster gets its name, is the cause of shingles. This is also the same virus that causes chicken pox, and once a person has had chicken pox, the infection may lie dormant in one’s nerve cells. These dormant viral cells can reactivate as shingles when the conditions are appropriate. Also, anyone that has been exposed to the virus can be infected. Note that shingles and chicken pox, while caused by the same viral agent, are not the same illness and require different treatments.
For a person to get shingles, they must have been exposed to the virus or have had chicken pox in the past. Age is considered a major factor in infections, with over half of reported cases manifesting in people who are over the age of 60. This is believed to be due to the weakened immune systems of these people – those with immune system problems are known to be more likely to be infected. Shingles is a common problem for those who have HIV or AIDS, or in cancer patients. Those with treatment regimens that include radiation and chemotherapy, along with certain steroids, are also prone to the problem. There are also some patients who develop it for no apparent reason.

after how many days after getting infected by virus of herpes zoster or chicken pox a man fall ill ?
i want to know that after getting a virus injected in your body or getting contaminated, how many days can pass without appearing disease symptoms ? Is it true that once after falling ill by chicken pox , it does not repeat whole life ?
No that is not exactly true. Once you have herpes you can either experience out breaks through out your whole life, or you may only get one out break then your immune system can force the virus into dormancy. There is nothing to that will control when or who will get out breaks, unless you use suppressive therapies.
Herpes can show up as little as over night or it can take months even years to build antibodies and show symptoms.

vaginal spotting, very bad abdominal cramps, diahrrea, and vomiting….?
I had my period on April 26th and last night ( May 5th) I woke up at 3:00 in the morning with severe lower abdominal pain. The pain was so bad that it felt like I was having contractions, so I took a tylenol and got in the bath tub for about an hour in a half. When the pain eased off a little I got up to dry off and threw up. Today, the pain came back but not as bad as the day before…. this time had diahrrea. Oh and also noticed vaginal spotting both days. I am very confused about what this could be. I set a doctors appointment for Friday, but wanted to know if any one had any clue as to what this could be or if any one experienced the same thing. Any information would be helpful… thanks!
You are showing the symptoms for a STD ( sexually transmitted diseases) or it could be a weird period but I’m not a doctor.

Back pain under the left rib cage is a dilemma for all patients suffering from it. Any constant pain is viewed by doctors as a very serious disorder or disease and requires immediate attention and cure. The rib cage is a formation that is composed by the thoracic vertebrae and ribs, sternum-breastbone, and the coastal cartilages that links the ribs to the sternum. The term cage is defined as a structure to house animals. The rib cage is a similar structure which houses and also protects the animal heart and lungs, also known as a thoracic cage in medical terms.
In the chest-thorax region, nerves spring out from the spine and divide into two parts. The first part goes to just under the skin and further sends fibers to the surface and also travels around half way around the chest. This is a probable reason for the feeling of pain in the back to the side of the chest. The second part travels to the bottom of the rib around the sternum bone, and also surfaces to the skin and then goes back towards the side on the same level as the first nerve. Rib cage pain can be any pain or discomfort in the area of the ribs.
A fractured or cracked rib can cause rib cage pain, costochondritis, inflammation of the cartilage near the breastbone, osteoporosis and pleurisy. If you do encounter such ribcage you must first get the area x-rayed so as to determine if your ribs are fractured. In the event of a fractured rib an immediate surgery should be scheduled. If you’ve been suffering this pain for a long period of time (3 months or more) it’s necessary to go for an MRI or CT scan and consult a professional to check for nerve damage, tumor or cancer.
Pain due to inflammation of cartilage between ribs and breastbone can radiate around the back and down the arms. Such type of pain could be enormous enough to give you a syndrome that you are having a heart attack or lung problems. Though this condition is benign but it is very painful and uncomfortable during the period it lasts.
There are instances when constant back pain under left rib cage makes you visit a specialist in gastroenterology since the problem starts with your stomach. Your stomach feels empty and you feel that a big growl wants to come out, nothing that you end to eat makes it better, you often get heart burn and a pain in the left side underneath rib cage. Routine blood pathology should be conducted to eliminate any infection of the intestine or pancreas. Digestive, gastro and bowel disorders must be ruled out by seeking medical advice. Such symptoms might make you start wondering that it is due to twisted bowel, you might have to go for a check up of colon.
Constant pain under the left rib cage is very uncomfortable for pregnant women especially those in advanced stages of pregnancy. They experience extreme pain near the area where the ribcage and breast meet. The pain causes extreme trauma and sometimes makes it difficult to sleep.

To maintain its long tubular length, the small intestine or “bowel” undergoes dozens of loops and folds as it absorbs nutrients en route from the stomach to the large intestines.
Since the bowel is not located within the rib cage, which encases or partially protects many of the upper abdominal organs (stomach, pancreas, and spleen), the bowel is exposed to more trauma than many other organs. Whether it receives the blow of a steering wheel or air bag in a car accident, or a more indirect trauma, such as absorbing the shock of a fall, the bowel may be more susceptible to trauma than the neighboring organs above it.
The bowel is also close to and adjacent to the pelvic organs. These structures are even more susceptible to tissue damage from infections, inflammation, and surgery. These organs are often deeply involved in cases of endometriosis, infections such as Chlamydia and pelvic inflammatory disease, and traumas such as a fall onto the back, hip or tailbone.
Finally, the bowels themselves are often diagnosed with inflammatory conditions such as diverticulitis, appendicitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and Crohn’s disease.
Any and all of these conditions may cause an adhesive response, as the body sends out thousands of tiny but powerful collagenous crosslinks to begin the healing process. Adhesions begin to form first at the site of greatest tissue damage, and then at other areas of inflammation.
In the best event, adhesions confine themselves to a small area on the surface of a single organ, the tissues below heal, and the body returns to normal function.
But when the geography of healing is more extensive, adhesions may spread more deeply into the organ, to support structures, or to neighboring organs. The subtle geographical shift between structures can set up a pattern of increased adhesion growth that may become problematic. The pull between structures tends to cause additional inflammation as the body participates in the activities of life. The inflammation begets more adhesions, and new adhesions can cause further inflammation. This can create a spiral of adhesion formation within the delicate folds of the bowels and lead to bowel obstruction.
Bowel adhesions may form as curtains or ropes within a section of the bowel, or between the loops of the intestines. Bowel adhesions can kink the intestines closed like a garden hose, or may form a glue-like ring or plug, restricting or totally blocking the passage designed to carry food through the bowel for processing and elimination. Thus these adhesions can create a weave of occlusion within the bowel, constricting its inner walls and slowly decreasing its ability to allow food and nutrients to pass
Any narrowing or closing of the small intestine by adhesions is referred to as a small bowel obstruction, occlusion, or blockage. The first indication of a bowel obstruction is often pain or nausea, accompanied by difficult or total inability to have a bowel movement. The recurrent build-up of adhesions can lead to a partial or total bowel obstruction. Treatment for partial bowel obstructions may be addressed through natural remedies such as the Wurn Technique®. A total bowel obstruction is a life-threatening condition that must be treated surgically by a physician.
