Simple abdominal pain? Something to worry about?
20 year old male: I have acid reflux
I woke up this afternoon and it felt like my entire midsection had gone through an extremely rigorous workout (crunches, etc), although I haven’t worked out in quite a while. It hurt and still hurts when I stand up; it feels like my muscles have been stretched almost to the breaking point. Additionally, I’ve begun to feel quite nauseous the last few hours. Also, I have been having RLQ pain for the last few weeks that hasn’t really amounted to anything; my doctor thinks I have IBS, so I haven’t really worried. From the sound of it, should I just write it off or go to the ER for help (since my walk in is closed now)?
It sounds like you are under good care from your Doctor , but I just want to comment on your acid reflux . I had it for a long time and it was caused by the fact that I always had a snack at night and at times too much of snack . I since gave up my snacks about five years ago and I only had problem with reflux may be twice at the most in those 5 years . Give up snacking at night past 7.00 PM and I guarantee you will never have another problem . I hope your pain goes away and have a great day .

Doing chin ups, sometimes get abdominal/ stomach pain.?
I’ve been trying to get into shape, and one thing I’ve done is get a chin up bar. Some times when I’m doing them I’ll get abdominal pain. Is this normal? Does it just mean I’m using my stomach to pick up my legs as I go up on the bar?
Yeah, I know what you mean. When I started to get back in shape a year ago, I got abdominal pain when I did a chin up or two. I think it’s because you are working out a new area that you having work out for awhile.
Also, I didn’t Stretch out my stomach too. Yes, it’s weird but yeah you have to stretch the stomach too, before you do your exercises.
Hope that helps you.
